COIN-OP IS BACK FOR 2017!
Join us at Neighborhood Laundromat at 9:00 pm the first and third Monday of each month.  We will be there until we run out of poets and poetry or until our laundry is clean.  Whichever takes longer!!   Here are some pictures from Coin-Op in 2016.
To see more pictures, go to our Facebook page (and preferably "Like" it!
We are planning for this year's 100,000 Poets for Change Event, to be held the last Saturday in September.  If you would like to help us plan the 2017 event, please contact Karawane@earthlink.net.
We are a co-sponsor of the Poetry Super Highway contest and are giving out 3 free copies.

Poetry Super Highway (PSH) is a really cool website and radio show that has been around at least 15 years or more. I have had some work featured on the website and I placed in the top 10 a few years ago. They also frequently have call in "open mics" on the radio. I can't recommend the site enough!

Listen to the radio show. Call in. Enter the contest (and tell them that you are already published in Karawane so they don't end up sending you that gift for entering!)

There is an entry fee, which I normally dislike intensely, but it is only $1 per poem, so I can endorse that!

Also, if you have a published book or chapbook of poetry, consider coming on as a sponsor.  Their goal is that everyone who enters should receive something for their $1 entry fee.  It's a great way to get your writing into the hands of readers!
